How Stripe Verification Works Before You Receive Driver Payouts

WakandaRides uses Stripe Connect to securely process driver payouts.

Before your earnings can be automatically sent to your bank account, Stripe must complete the required Know Your Customer (KYC) verification for your payout account. Stripe requires connected accounts to satisfy applicable verification requirements before payouts can be enabled.

1. Set up your payout account

From the Earnings & Payouts area in WakandaRides, follow the instructions to set up your Stripe payout account.

Stripe will guide you through the information required for your account.

Make sure the information you provide is accurate and matches your official documents.

2. Provide your personal information

Stripe may request information such as:

• Your legal name

• Date of birth

• Home address

• Phone number or email

• Additional identity or account information when required

The exact information required can vary depending on the connected account and Stripe's verification requirements.

3. Verify your identity if requested

Stripe may ask you to provide additional identity verification.

For Canadian accounts, acceptable identity documents can include a passport, driver's licence, or other government-issued identification, depending on the verification requirement. Stripe may also request additional verification such as a selfie in some cases.

Follow the instructions shown by Stripe and make sure:

• Your document is valid

• The information is clearly visible

• Your name and other information match what you entered

• Photos are clear and not cropped or blurry

4. Add your bank account

You must have an eligible payout account set up before Stripe can send your earnings.

WakandaRides standard payouts are sent to your configured bank account.

Stripe supports external payout accounts for connected accounts and may verify payout-account information as part of the setup process.

5. Wait for Stripe verification

Stripe reviews the information you provide.

Your payout status may temporarily show as incomplete, pending, or requiring additional information while verification is being completed.

If Stripe requests more information, complete the requested steps before your payouts can continue. Stripe can pause payouts when required verification information is outstanding.

6. Choose your automatic payout schedule

Once your payout account is verified and your earnings are eligible for payout, you can choose your WakandaRides automatic payout preference.

Available schedules are:

Daily
Eligible payouts are processed on business days.

Weekly
Eligible payouts are scheduled for Mondays.

Monthly
Eligible payouts are scheduled for the 1st of each month.

Stripe supports configurable payout schedules, including daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.

7. Your ride still needs to become payout-eligible

Completing Stripe KYC does not mean every ride payment is immediately sent to your bank.

Your ride must still complete the normal WakandaRides payout process.

For a normally completed ride that the passenger confirms:

• Eligible earnings can become available for Instant Cash Out immediately

• If you do not cash out, the funds become eligible for standard bank payout 24 hours after passenger confirmation

For a no-show or disputed ride where the final decision releases the payout to you:

• The funds remain subject to the applicable 24-hour hold

• After the hold, they can be sent to your default bank account or become available for Instant Cash Out when eligible

8. What happens if Stripe asks for verification again?

Stripe's verification requirements can change or additional information can be requested later.

If this happens, your payouts may be temporarily paused until you provide the requested information.

Check the Earnings & Payouts area and follow any Stripe verification prompts shown.

How to avoid payout delays

Before your first payout:

• Complete all Stripe onboarding steps

• Use your real legal information

• Add the correct bank account

• Respond promptly if Stripe requests additional documents

• Make sure your identity documents are valid and readable

• Keep your payout information up to date

Good to know

Stripe verification is required for receiving driver payouts. It is separate from the WakandaRides profile or driver's licence verification used elsewhere in the app.

Completing your Stripe payout setup early helps prevent delays when your first ride earnings become available.

Your selected Daily, Weekly, or Monthly schedule controls when eligible funds are automatically sent, but it does not bypass passenger confirmation, payout holds, disputes, or Stripe verification requirements.
