WakandaRides is a carpooling platform designed specifically for intercity travel within Canada. We connect drivers and passengers for cost-effective, eco-friendly transportation between cities.
Key Features:

For Drivers:
- Post your trip with departure/arrival cities, date, and time
- Set the number of available seats and contribution amount
- Passengers book seats and pay through the platform
- Communicate with passengers through in-app messaging
For Passengers:
- Search for rides between your desired cities
- Book and pay for your seat instantly
- Get driver contact information after booking
- Meet at the agreed pickup location
Available: All intercity travel within Canada
Not Available: Cross-border trips to the United States or other countries are strictly prohibited
Creating an account is 100% free! You only pay when you book a ride.
There are no monthly fees, subscription costs, or charges for browsing available rides.
For Passengers:
Passengers pay a booking fee of typically around 17% (including tax) when reserving a seat. This helps us operate the platform and provide support.
For Drivers:
Drivers don't pay a platform fee. However, a 3.15% payout processing fee is deducted by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe or PayPal).
Key Differences:
- Driver-directed trips: Drivers post their own trips with set routes and times
- Cost-sharing only: Drivers are reimbursed for travel costs, not paid for driving
- Intercity focus: Built for long-distance rides between cities, not short local rides
- Scheduled travel: Trips are planned in advance, not on-demand
Absolutely not. Reselling bus or train tickets, or offering professional driving services, is strictly prohibited.
Accounts involved in resale or commercial transport will be suspended immediately.
More than 24 hours before departure:
You receive a full refund of the trip contribution (booking fee is non-refundable)
Less than 24 hours before departure:
You receive 50% of the trip contribution. The other 50% goes to the driver
Don't cancel and don't show up:
No refund is provided
Warning: Cancelling a confirmed trip can leave passengers stranded. Drivers should only post trips they fully intend to take.
You can cancel via Trip Settings → Cancel Trip and must provide a reason to passengers.
Cancellation Consequences:
- Passengers receive a full refund, including the booking fee
- A cancellation notice is added to your profile
- You're allowed one cancellation per 6-month period
- More than one cancellation may result in account suspension
- Avoid speculative trip postings – they may harm your profile and access
If the driver doesn't show up, passengers can report the no-show through the app.
If confirmed:
- The passenger receives a full refund
- The driver may be suspended from the platform
- The incident is recorded on the driver's profile
For the Driver: You receive the full trip contribution
For the Passenger: No refund is provided and you may receive a warning or account restriction for repeated no-shows
No phone support available. All support is handled through:

In emergencies involving personal safety, please contact 911 immediately.

- Wait a reasonable amount of time for response
- If no response and you're concerned about safety, contact our support team immediately
- For emergencies, call 911
