When you post a ride on WakandaRides, you choose how much each passenger contributes toward the trip.

WakandaRides provides pricing guidance to help keep carpooling affordable for passengers while allowing drivers to share their travel costs.

1. Set your price

During the Post a Ride flow, continue to the Pricing step.

WakandaRides will show pricing guidance for your route. You can select a suggested option or enter a custom price within the allowed limit.

2. Recommended price

WakandaRides recommends approximately $0.10 per kilometre per seat.

This helps drivers share the cost of the trip while keeping rides affordable and attractive to passengers.

Example:

200 km × $0.10 = $20 per seat

Maximum price per kilometre

WakandaRides allows a maximum price of $0.20 per kilometre per seat.

Example:

200 km × $0.20 = $40 per seat

Keeping carpool pricing fair

WakandaRides is designed for cost-sharing carpooling, where drivers are already making the trip and passengers contribute toward travel expenses.

Seat prices should help offset costs such as:

WakandaRides is not intended to turn a shared trip into an on-demand taxi or commercial transportation service.

Before publishing, check:

• Your price per seat

• Available seats

• Route distance

• Departure and destination

• Date and time

The recommended rate is $0.15/km per seat, while the maximum allowed rate is $0.20/km per seat.

For eligible online bookings, drivers keep 100% of the seat price. The WakandaRides booking fee is charged separately to the passenger.
